A prominent Muslim educational body has opposed "reality" shows on TV channels featuring teenagers alleging that they often breach the cultural barriers. The views expressed by MES president has sparked a debate, especially among women, who often figure prominently in popular music and cinematic dances beamed during prime time by channels.
Gafoor said while MES was not against artistic freedom or music or dance competitions on channels, the organisation would strongly oppose what was now going on in the name of art.
