Demanding a settlement to the ongoing strike by Government doctors, implementing the speciality/administrative cadre and NRHM scheme in the ESI Department, the Kerala Government Insurance Medical Officers Association will start a non-cooperation strike from Sunday.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, association state president K P Mohammed and general secretary Selvan Lukose said that they would boycott monthly review meetings, filing of monthly statements, Sabarimala duty, working arrangements, arogyamela and national programmes as part of the strike.There are 550 doctors in the 136 dispensaries and 12 hospitals under the ESI Corporation.
However, the association leaders said they would not refrain from examining the patients who come to the hospitals.
