Government doctors who are on a non-cooperation strike for over a month have decided not to take part in any more discussions with the government till they are paid their salaries in full.
The Kerala Government Medical Officers’ Association took a unanimous decision to this effect at its State committee meeting here on Saturday, after they completed a 12-hour hunger strike in front of the Secretariat.
The doctors deciding to intensify their agitation without letting it affect the functioning of government hospitals and primary/community health centres.
The government doctors further decided to intensify their agitation by stopping pay ward admissions and duties from November 20. They decided not to give further dates for medical board sittings. However, the dates already issued would not be cancelled.
