The Lord Ayyappa temple at Sabarimala was closed after Athazhapuja on Monday evening, marking the culmination of the five-day monthly puja in Thulam in the Malayalam calendar.
Kalabhabhishekom was performed at the temple prior to Utchapuja. Pushpabhishekom, Padipuja and Udayasthamanapuja were the other important rituals held on Monday.
The temple will reopen at 5.30 pm on November 7 for the Annual Chithira Aattathirunal celebrations the next day.
