Kerala’s networked multipurpose community technology centers, known as Akshaya e-Kendras are launching a training program on medical transcription by end November. The program will be initially launched in Malappuram district.
Medical transcription training is being conducted in collaboration with Keltron (Kerala State Electronics Development Corp) and will be monitored by the state’s IT Mission.The transcription training will be for six months and will cost Rs.15,000. Each centre will have two trainers with either postgraduate diploma in computer applications or diploma in computer applications.
For people who undergo training in the Akshaya centres, Keltron will ensure placement in BPOs or in other firms. Meanwhile, Akshaya authorities are selecting candidates for the program.
